Question And Answer

One of many.

"Why do you like listening to people?"

I guess it just boils down to the issue of perspective. I find it intriguing to listen to different points of views from people. Through their opinions and sharings, i gain more insight into their thoughts, which in turn serves to give me a better understanding of their character and personalities. Indirectly, i am getting to know the person better without even having to say a word.

You'll be surprised at how different people view things differently. Thought processes, opinions, ideas are unique to every individual. Opinions on a subject can have such polarity to the extent of becoming potentially contentious. Wars have been fought over a conflict of ideals. Thus, i find that there is always a need to listen. Epictetus once said “We have two ears and one mouth so that we can listen twice as much as we speak.” Do away with preconceived ideas of other; be less parsimonious with your listening ear. The world will not necessarily change radically for the better, but at the very least, YOUR world will be a better place.

Hmm, you make me contemplative. :P
