After being in Germany for two weeks and acclimatising to the cold, it took some time to get used to the temperature today. I was sweating profusely after only about 5 minutes of play.
And i think my circadian clock is still wonky; i woke up at 6am today feeling surprisingly refreshed, despite having barely 5 hours of sleep.
On to the movie "review".
Totally irreverent, Kick-Ass is the movie to watch if you've had a bad day at work. Believe me, you will be emancipated from any stress after you watch this movie. Chloe Moretz, who plays Hit-Girl, is fantastic here as the cussing 11-year old vigilante. She seems to be channeling Rambo as she takes down hordes of evil henchman with clinical precision. The film itself deals with issues any teenager can relate to, such as the desire for parental attention. It does not take itself too seriously; therein lies its entertainment value. The pacing could have been better though; slow, slow, and then kaboom all of a sudden does not exactly warrant a nod from all audiences.
