When You Can Live Forever, What Do You Live For?
I ask myself this innocuous question everyday. Not that i can live forever.. though i wouldnt mind.
Interesting.. since the whole world is in chaos now, what with pandemic diseases and global financial crises abound. As we find more ways to self-destruct and bring forth impending doom upon ourselves, the question of what's worth living for has never seemed more appropriate.
Do we exist just for self-gratification? Or are we obliged to be just a little more selfless and altruistic?
At the rate at which mankind is going, even if immortality is achievable, i doubt anyone would want to embrace it. Simply because there would simply be nothing left to live for in the world.
