This song was played at my sec 4 graduation ceremony. Until recently, I hadnt heard it in ages. During the last few days though, i had this inexplicable and sudden urge to listen to it. As the song played, and my mind processed the familiar melody, the lyrics seemed to strike a chord within me. It invoked feelings of melancholy, sadness, joy, bliss and a whole myriad of different emotions. I was reminded once again that in approximately 8 months time, my classmates, schoolmates and i will all go our separate ways; maybe never seeing each other again. This saddened me. At the same time, the end of the A levels would also mean another stage of our lives being completed and would mark the start of a new journey.
Some of you may know that i hate change. However, we are all pawns in fate's game. Change is precisely what is to be expected at the end of the year. I have often heard many people saying that the friends that you make during your jc life would be better friends than those in secondary school. I was sceptical of this at first. However, my mindset is, or rather, already, changed.
People, please treasure the times spent together with your friends. It wont last forever.
