Idealist?

I have often been derided for being an idealist; that is to say that i believe in ideals which are not pragmatic and realistic in real life. For example, id rather not engage in direct confrontation and give in to someone whom has done me wrong. David especially can attest to this. My belief is to "Make peace, not war". I do not like it when conflicts occur or when people fight.

Recent events in church have been very troubling. And though the full story behind the 'conflict' is unknown to me, the implications which it brings are relatively disconcerting.

This whole fiasco has once again ignited in me a feeling that is non-to-flattering to adults. I seriously think that when adults enter society, they are sort of overwhelmed by the myriad of opportunities and problems that they tend to become detached from moral well-being. The phrase "losing their childhood innocence" certainly holds true. They become overly-objective, more concerned with the ends rather than the means and often make choices based on what their head tells them to. Thinking with their heart is perceived as weakness on their part and considered to be impractical. I am not saying that this is entirely bad, but it results in tension and increasing stress levels. Misunderstandings, evident in my church, will also happen.

*Sigh* I dont want to grow up....

On a happier note...
