Training

Ran mock 2.4km today. I was a tad disappointed with my timing of 9.57 min. I guess my mentality from the start was that it was only a trial run. Thus, i did not really exert myself fully. And i think i didnt stretch enough; somewhere around my 3rd lap, i began having terrible shin splints. Either ive been running too much, or my running shoes need to be changed.

Soccer training was not as intense as usual. We spent most of the training practicing finishing and defending from crosses. Our coach emphasized the need to be confident and bold both in attack and defence. Profligacy in front of goal has always been one of our downfalls; thus the need to refine our attackers' finishing abilities. Personally, i am weak at handling crosses as i cant head to save my life. I guess ill just have to keep trying. Anyway, after some time, coach drafted me to do the crossing of the ball. For those of you who do not know, crossing is SERIOUSLY tiring business; imagine the repetitive action of sending ball after ball into the penalty box.. but it was good practice too.

*Yawns* im sleepy.. night everyone!
