Juno And L
Watched Juno with fran, mich, sam, rab, py yesterday.
Juno was a breath of fresh air. I simply loved it. It takes an issue (teenage pregnancy), widely considered as a social stigma, and portrays it in a totally different light. I especially loved the eponymous character's cynicism and witty sarcasm. The one-liners are hilarious!! I think that the script-writer was in a particular inspired mood when he wrote the script.. kudos also to Ellen Page (actress who played Juno) for pulling off her role with such aplomb and convincingness. She is definitely proving that she is more than just a pretty face. Future great thespian? =P The songs used in the movie also seem to be embedded in my head, particularly a line from one of them "Part-time lover, full-time friend.."
Went to church a bit late today as i wasnt feeling all too well. Sore-throat and blocked nose. :( After service, marc and i went to 7-eleven to buy drinks. We saw this ad promoting a special combo. That wasnt what caught my eye though. WHAT caught my eye was that the combo included a free L bookmark! (My apologies, im super-obsessed with L, if you all havent figured it out yet) So, we both bought a slurpee and a packet of chips. But what do you know, the cashier just HAD to tell us after we paid for the items that there was no more stock left for the bookmarks. NOOOOO!!!
Had a good talk with marc and daryl at some secluded corner in taka next to kinokuniya. Really cool place, its like our very own secret hideout..ok, i sound disturbingly weird now...
