Song To Sing When Im Lonely
Random post today.
As most of my classmates and friends can testify to, i like singing.
I can sing anywhere, anytime. Be it in the classroom, on the way home from school, in a crowded shopping mall etc, if im in the mood, i will just naturally start singing. Im not really a good singer and having almost no musical background at all, i tend to go off-pitch or out of tune often.
I guess my love of singing must have been unknowingly ingrained in me since i was young. My dad used to sing songs to me when i was really young to lull me to sleep. I can still remember him singing or humming "If We Hold On Together" from the movie Land Before Time. All i know is that when i sing, all forms of stress or emotional burden seems to be whisked away, albeit temporarily. It sort of fuels my feelings of escapism.
And i have a weird fixation with falsetto. If a song has any form of falsetto, then the chances of me liking it is increased tenfold..
So for those around me, im sorry that you have to bear with my singing. But its just one of my weird idiosyncrasies. =P
