One Missed Call

Watched One Missed Call today with David and Matt. (Sry sam that i abandoned you =P) In this remake of the Japanese horror film "Chakushin Ari", several people start receiving voice-mails from their future selves -- messages which include the date, time, and some of the details of their deaths. Anyway, david and matt weren't too keen to watch a horror movie especially after they saw the trailer. But the timing was the most suitable and thus i succeeded in persuading them to make an exception.

It was seriously hilarious in the theatre. The start of the movie already succeeded in making us all jump. Then in the middle of the movie, i couldnt decide whether to laugh or to be scared; this was due to the fact that matt was practically covering his eyes for the whole movie. And he was frantically stuffing his headphones into his ears to block out the sounds from the movie especailly that super-creepy ringtone. I have known all along that he does not watch horror movies, but i did not know that he would be so scared out of his wits.

I quite enjoyed the movie though, although it was quite a mediocre film; the ending in particular was too abrupt and too convenient. And the scares were not really that psychologically disturbing or unsettling; it was just plain Hollywood-styled shocks.

I am SOOO going to enjoy reminding matt of the show if he disturbs me anymore. HAHA
