Winner At A Losing Game
Dead tired today man.. soccer in the morning and then youth in the afternoon, not to mention yesterday's party.
Headed down to pasir ris today to meet the rest of the guys before heading to mj. We succeeded in containing mj's relentless attacks for the first 20 plus minutes. Then, the first goal came. Lets just say that it went downhill from then on.. i came on in the 2nd half, and mj were already 5-0 up. They then proceeded to score 6 more to make it 11-0. Freaking demoralising man.. plus our keeper was injured and due to a lack of a replacement, the match was called to a halt with five minutes to go.
I felt that i totally sucked today. Period. I just couldnt mark that super-aggressive nigerian winger. My passes mostly went astray. I was utterly hopeless. I guess i have to continue training hard.
Well, the one bright spark in this otherwise disheartening game was the fact that we now know that we have a super-nice coach who is dedicated to training us. More importantly, he believes in us. I strongly believe that come the A Div season next year, this will be the important factor which will drive us forward.
Ok, off to bed now. Church christmas event tmr.
