No one can confidently say that he will still be living tomorrow. ~Euripides

Such is the unpredictablity of life.

An old family friend just passed away. And a few weeks ago, my great-grand-aunt succumbed to death's unyielding presence as well.

The fragility of life has always been taken for granted by many of us. Very often, we see ourselves as indestructible; immune to the only certainty in life: death. But we fail to see that we could be breathing our last gasp of air, eating our last meal, or even having our last argument with our loved ones. For all we know, death could be creeping up on us and preparing to grasp us by the nape of our necks.

Life is a volatile mix, of happiness and sorrow, of laughter and anguish, of contentment and anger..

But it is definitely too capricious to be taken for granted. So live life like there's no tomorrow, and enjoy those moments which take your breath away with your loved ones. That is the only way to truly "conquer" death.
