Time

I wish i had control over time.

As i sit here typing this, half of my long weekend has already trickled away into the distance. The days, hours, minutes and seconds are ticking away too quickly for my liking. Sometimes i wish i had a universal remote, just like the one Adam Sandler's character has in the movie Click. Then, i can slow down or quicken the pace of my life at my own leisure.

Hmmm, on hindsight though, i dont think that would be a good idea. Control (of time that is) can lead to disaster and even abuse.

Anyway, i went to watch The Mummy 3 with the family today.

Not an entirely mediocre movie but neither is it a topnotch one. In short, i wasnt disappointed but it failed to blow me away or offer up any pleasant surprises. Ok, maybe i WAS a little disappointed, but only because Rachel Weisz wasnt in it. :P

It takes a rather formualaic, tried and tested direction typical of classic hollywood/action movie fare. Lots of action, the mandatory car chase sequence, even throwing in a little romance. And of course, at the end of the day, the good guys win. It makes for good family entertainment. However, if you're looking for something deeper and more thought-provoking, this is DEFINITELY not the movie for you. Go watch The Dark Knight :D

Loved the first, loved the second, liked the third. Moral of the story: There shouldnt be a fourth. Though, if there really is a fourth, ill still be watching it (me being me).
