I must admit that i was not rooting for David Cook to win in the beginning stages of the competition. I much preferred Jason Castro and Michael Johns. But as i watched Cook perform week in and week out, i started to change my stance towards him. His versatility and ability to make a song his own are what makes him so good. Good vocal ability helps chalk up the brownie points. What won me over completely though was his rendition of Mariah Carey's Always Be My Baby. Oh my goodness!!!! Brilliant! Im totally addicted to it now.
