End Of A Journey
Loss 2-1 to TP yesterday.
The final results are as follows: P:9 W:1 D:0 L:8
Disappointing as it may be, i still feel a sense of accomplishment. At least on my part, i have met my own set of expectations. I realised that ive played every single minute in every game this season. To me, this has far surpassed what i would have hoped to achieve. Missing out on the chance to play competitve soccer in both primary and secondary school, i was determined to join soccer in jc. Approximately one and a half years on, my wish has been fulfilled.
This marks the end of a chapter in my life. To me, it is truly a bittersweet moment.
I am glad that the tournament is finally over. I can finally concentrate on my studies and other aspects of my life. I can play soccer now as how i started to play it; without any stress, pressure and simply just for fun.
However, i will definitely miss the numerous trainings with my fellow teammates, the inspirational pep talks by coach Suhairi, the 3 Fs (Fitness, Focus, Fighting spirit) of Mr Tong and most importantly, the sheer thrill and adrenaline rush of playing competitve soccer.
Im getting quite sentimental here...
It was a journey rife with setbacks. Yet, we stuck together as a team and fought on. Circumstances were not in our favour, luck definitely not on our side. But, in the end, all that matters is that we have completed this adventure, knowing that we have tried our best(even if our best was not good enough).
A memory to be treasured.
